The name “Kumamoto Panda Base” combines “熊猫,” the Chinese word for panda, and “基地,” meaning a base for travel and work. The name reflects our wish to be a reliable “Kumamoto base” where domestic and international guests visiting Kumamoto can stay with peace of mind, whether for travel or business.
